A Southern California community is grieving after the body of 5-year-old Amada Mia Brown was recovered days after she was swept into the ocean off Laguna Beach. According to the City of Laguna Beach, police conducting an early morning aerial survey on June 11, 2026, spotted what appeared to be the missing child roughly 250 to 300 yards offshore near Christmas Cove. The location was about a quarter mile north of where Amada had been pulled into the water near Treasure Island Beach on June 9.
